Osoyoos is a small town, but is sure packs a punch when it comes to summer fun in British Columbia. Today we will be focusing on all the amazing local markets this vacation hub has to offer! Who doesn’t like discovering outdoor market or exploring exciting festivals in the warm summer’s breeze? We’ve done our due diligence and mapped out the hottest guide to Osoyoos Summer events. Osoyoos Market on Main is open every Saturday morning from May until the end of August. They sell everything from scrumptious fresh baked treats, daily picked fruits and vegetables, as well as arts and local crafts.
Osoyoos Cherry Fiesta is held annually every year on Canada Day. It’s a weekend long event and is filled with lots of entertainment, crafts, delicious fair foods, pancake breakfasts, and fun activities for the whole family. You must go, if you are in Osoyoos for the July long weekend. In fact, it’s so fun you should flee the city and come up anyways! What better way to celebrate Canada Day then with a mouth full of juicy, red, local cherries.
BlueGrass Festival goes on annually every August. It’s filled with local music, random activities, and Lions Club hosted events. Everyone loves a free concert, and this one is not to be missed. It attracts visitors from all over British Columbia, and is great for families.
Osoyoos Street Dances happen in both July and August. Lots of energy pumps through the downtown streets, which are filled with entertainment and dancing! This event is also family friendly, and it’s the children who are its’ biggest fans.
Osoyoos is known for its incredible wineries, which is an event in itself. Osoyoos is home to over 20 Okanagan wineries. Some of the spectacles you must sip on are Twisted Tree Vineyards, Nk’Mip Cellars, Lastella Winery and Moon Curser Vineyards. You can visit wineries on your own, or take a guided tour.
